Recently, the winners of the 2020 (10th) National Competion of Mechanical Products' Digital Design for College Students were released. The competition is sponsored by the Machinery Teaching Steering Committee and Experimental Teaching Demonstration Center of Educational Institutions, and co-organized by Autodesk Software (China) Co., Ltd. and Wuchang Shouyi University. With the guidance of Prof. WU Tao of KUST, the “Multi-functional Deformation Manipulator” designed by XU Weijie, HE Pengfei and HE Linzhe, and the "Household Mechanical Assistant" designed by HU Jianfu, DUAN Hongyang and NIE Tianhao were awarded the second prize in the competition.

Hit by the epidemic this year, the final was held in October 2020 in the form of a video review. Throughout the competition, the students actively organized a number of seminars and constantly optimized the entries, so as to make solid and comprehensive moves to advance the preparation work.

This competition shows students’ outstanding professional competence and design level, fosters consciousness of innovation on design, and improves team collaboration. It provides a good example for encouraging students to actively sign up for extracurricular scientific and technological activities.
