KUST has prepared students and teachers new smart classrooms. More than 252 multimedia and smart classrooms in Chenggong Campus have completely been upgraded. With equipment upgraded and big changes in the interior and exterior spaces of the classrooms, KUST not only has made the teaching equipment intelligent but also improved teaching environment in all-round way.

The improvement of teaching buildings and the appearance of smart classrooms are the integration of new educational forms and modern teaching methods with such technologies like Internet, the Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence, multimedia and so on, which has comprehensively promoted class teaching reform and speeded up the establishment of smart campus in KUST.

Being a mixture of multi-screen interaction, the screen can be used as projection and blackboard, which can directly realize teacher-student interactive classroom teaching.

These removable desks and chairs can be arranged in different forms for meeting corresponding teaching needs and enriching the class organization forms.

With flexible tables and chairs, students can freely design classroom layouts, and with various teaching facilities, small-class seminar classrooms with various forms are able to be established in order to achieve the free switch between teachings, individual learnings and group discussions.

With regard to the characteristics of the seminar, the platform of smart classrooms can be designed to be movable and suitable for classroom layouts of different shapes. In order to cater to teachers’ needs, a height-adjustable function is equipped at every stage. At the same time, a display screen is installed at the entrance of each smart classroom for all-day service. The display screen is mainly used to show the course information, course introduction, teacher’s introduction, environmental parameters in the classroom and the live scene in the classroom.

The lifting platform which can adjust the height according to one’s own habits brings new experience to teachers and embodies a spirit of humanity.

Smart curtains can be controlled remotely.

Press the button, and you can open or close the curtain. Smart control makes the classroom more integrative.

Smart classrooms break traditional teaching models. By integrating with advanced intelligent technology, a student-oriented, more human-friendly, interactive teaching environment is built so as to achieve better effects and strengthen interactive communications between teachers and students. At the same time, convenient intensive unified management, which can realize much more functions in just one platform and greatly improve the daily management efficiency and reduce the management cost.
