On the afternoon of 12th November, CHEN Hao, Secretary of CPC Yunnan Provincial Committee met with Zvi Heifetz, Israeli ambassador to China, in Kunming, witnessing the signing of MOU on the joint school-running.

CHEN Hao welcomed Zvi Heifetz and the delegation to visit Yunnan. He said that Yunnan, at present, is implementing President XI Jinping’s speech delivered during his visit to Yunnan, to speed up building the province into a center driving the development of South and Southeast Asia and to create a new situation of high-quality economic development. Yunnan Province and Israel have yielded substantial results of exchanges and cooperation in economy, trade, agriculture, science, technology, medical care and education. Nowadays, Yunnan concentrates on opening its door wider to the world in all respects so we attach great importance to the friendly exchanges with Israel. We hope Yunnan-Israel Innovation Cooperation Forum can play its full part as the most important comprehensive platform of Yunnan-Israel cooperation with the joint efforts to promote the implementation of cooperative projects for win-win outcomes continually.

Zvi Heifetz expressed his appreciation for China’s outstanding accomplishments in fighting against COVID-19. He said China and Israel will enjoy a broad prospect since two countries have long history friendship. In recent years, Israel and Yunnan Province has been conducting frequent exchanges and close cooperation. He hoped that both sides will take the opportunity of cooperation in joint school-running to drive practical cooperation in various fields to a new level.

After the meeting, CHEN Hao and Zvi Heifetz witnessed the online signing of MOU on the joint school-running among Kunming University of Science and Technology, Tel Aviv University, Kunming Municipal Government, and Beijing Tongying Investment Group.

CHEN Shun, Vice Governor of Yunnan Province, attended the meeting.
