Recently, the heads of School of International Education, Graduate School, Faculty of Metallurgical and Energy Engineering, Faculty of Electric Power Engineering, Faculty of Management and Economics of Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) went to Nanjing to conduct research about the development of English-taught majors, international student enrollment and student management in Nanjing University of Science and Technology (NJUST) and Jiangsu University (JSU).
In the research symposium, the speakers fromNJUST School of International Education and JSU Overseas Education College introduced the international student enrollment and arrangement; the teacher training, curriculum construction, and training programs in developing English-taught majors; and related incentive policies. The international student education of JSU, one of the universities with the largest number of international students in China, has shown distinguishing features with over 80% degree students among all international students studying in JSU, most of whom receive the English-taught lessons.

Through this research tour, KUST has accumulated valuable experience in developing English-taught majors as well as international student enrollment and management, which will play a positive role in the further work.
