On December 15th, Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) and UCSI University held an online conversation and negotiation through Tencent Meeting, clarifying the in-depth cooperation in four aspects: the joint training of students, the exchange and visit of teachers, joint proposals for research projects, and cooperation in publishing international papers.
The head of the Division of International Cooperation of KUST introduced the general situation of the university, including disciplines, faculty, number of students, research achievements, internationalization level, and other major aspects; the heads and experts from the Faculty of Chemical Engineering and the Faculty of Environmental Science and Engineering introduced the specific situation of their respective faculties and expressed their willingness to cooperate. Erwina, the head of the Global Affairs Office of UCSI University, Deprizon, the head of the Civil Engineering Department, and Harvinder, the expert of Environmental Engineering, introduced UCSI University and their disciplines in turn and confirmed their cooperation intentions.
Through the negotiation, both sides decided to sign MOU and exchange visits after the epidemic to accelerate the cooperation process between them.
UCSI University, the No. one private university in Malaysia, ranked 284th in the QS World University Rankings in 2023 and 72nd in the QS Asian University Rankings in 2023. It is the first and only university in the world to receive the QS Recognition of Improvement Award. Additionally, approved by the Ministry of Education Malaysia and recognized by the Ministry of Education, PRC, it is an overseas comprehensive higher education institution that can grant bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral diplomas.
