On the afternoon of February 4th, the "Training Programme for Local Chinese Language Teachers from Russia and Belarus," hosted by the Center for Language Education and Cooperation of the Ministry of Education and organized by Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST), held a graduation ceremony at the Lianhua Campus of KUST. Twenty-nine local Chinese language teachers from Russia and Belarus were awarded graduation certificates.
During the ten-day study tour, the participants enriched their knowledge of the Chinese language, improved their communicative competence in Chinese, expanded their second language teaching abilities, and experienced the fine traditional Chinese culture, Yunnan's diverse ethnic customs, and current economic and social development.
Participants said that the courses offered during the training programme were highly practical and professional, from which they benefited greatly. The training programme deepened their understanding of China and fostered a great love for the Chinese language and culture, boosting their confidence in their future work. They committed to becoming friendly envoys of cultural exchanges between China and Russia/Belarus.
The success of this training programme has provided a platform for local Chinese language teachers from Russia and Belarus to learn and communicate and has opened a new door for educational exchanges between KUST and Russia/Belarus. The programme is expected to promote the development of Chinese language education in Russia and Belarus. KUST will continue to sum up the training experience, innovate teaching methodologies, and help Russia and Belarus improve their international Chinese language education teachers with practical actions. KUST aims to promote exchanges, cooperation, mutual learning, and mutual benefit between China and Russia, as well as between China and Belarus.
