On October 19th, the head of the Division of International Cooperation ofKUST visited theInternationalCooperationCenter of YunnanProvincial EnergyInvestment Group Co., Ltd.(YEIG). The two parties discussed how cooperation between KUST and the large-scale state-owned enterprise can serve the construction of Yunnan asa Central Hub for South and Southeast Asia.
HU Xiaoxiao,the vice generalmanager of the International Cooperation Center of YEIG, introduced the international layout and tasks ofthe company. Hemainly introduced theintegrated mode ofindustry-university-research-application andthedemand for international talents to serve the countryin jointlybuilding the "Belt and Road"with Yunnan Provinceas a Central Hub for South and Southeast Asia.Thehead of the Division of International Cooperation of KUST introduced KUST'sefforts aiming for a "Double First-Class" university through their established standing in serving the regional industrial economy through non-ferrous metals. Heespeciallydetailed the technical advantages and personnel training in metallurgy and new energy fields at KUST.
At the meeting,bothpartiesdiscussed thedevelopment ofgreen energy,Yunnan as a hub construction, international talent training, international employment promotion, andthe possibilities of cooperation in overseas technology development and scientific research. The two sides agreed that thecooperation between them isof great potential in the post-epidemic era and will bring benefitsto the construction of Yunnan province as theCentral Hub for South and Southeast Asia.
YEIG is the main force in the implementation of the green energy strategy for Yunnanprovince and the front-runner of its internationalization. In recent years, the quality of the Group's assets, capital strength and core competitiveness have been continuously enhanced, contributing to the world-class green energygoal as well as providing support in the forward leap ofeconomic and social development.
