On the afternoon of November 22, LU Zhiyong, Director of Yunnan International Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Center and General Manager of Guohe International Business (Yunnan) Co., Ltd., and four others visited KUST to discuss the possible cooperation between the two sides in the implementation of human resource projects in cross-border Chinese-funded enterprises. The heads of the School of International Education and the Division of International Cooperation attended the meeting.

The heads of the Division of International Cooperation and the School of International Education briefly introduced the basic situation at KUST, as well as the achievements ofKUST in international cooperation and exchange in recent years. LU Zhiyong introduced the main business of Yunnan International Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Center and Guohe International Business (Yunnan) Co., LTD. Leo Lie, CEO of Asia Starmar Transport Intelligent Co., Ltd. (ASTI) in Myanmar, mainly talked about the difficulties and problems encountered in the development of Chinese-funded textile enterprises in South and Southeast Asian countries.

At the meeting, both sides conducted preliminary exchanges and discussions on the selection of trainers, curriculum design and teaching methods. The two sides agreed to continue to strengthen communication and coordination, work out cooperation plans and make every effort to promote cooperation.

Currently, tens of thousands of Chinese-funded textile enterprises are operating in South and Southeast Asian countries. Overseas Chinese-funded enterprises may encounter differences in culture, management concepts, labor costs, and other factors in the process of localization. They thus need to cultivate a group of local human resource teams that identify with Chinese culture, are familiar with Chinese-funded companies' management styles, and havespecific professional skills. Such a team can help these enterprises solve their localization problems of middle-level and high-level teams in outbound invested countries, and ensure their safe and smooth operation in the local area. Accordingly, training for outbound human resources allows both parties to cooperate.

Yunnan International Economic, Trade and Cultural Cooperation Center is a provincial civil society, which undertakes the publicity and promotion of the Belt and Road Initiative in neighboring countries. It has played an active role in making Yunnan a central cog of China's opening-up to South and Southeast Asia. Guohe International Business (Yunnan) Co., Ltd. is a subordinate business company of the center. Its business is to provide overseas human resource services, overseas vocational education, vocational skills training and other professional services according to the development requirements of transnational economic and trade investment enterprises at home and abroad, especially for Chinese-funded enterprises in South and Southeast Asia.
