Recently, KUST had an online negotiation with AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland through Zoom. Both sides made it clear that they will carry out substantial cooperation in terms of teacher and student exchanges, joint research and Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools.
The head of the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering of KUST gave a brief introduction to KUST and detailed the Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering including its sub-departments, staff members, and the number of students, as well as its achievements of scientific research and the level of internationalization. Piotr Małkowski, the head of the China program of AGH University of Science and Technology, introduced the general situation of the university as well. Krzysztof Mendrok, the dean of the School of Robotics and Mechatronics, highlighted the departments of the School and the strengths of scientific research, and expressed the intention of cooperation.
AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow, Poland, founded in 1919, is one of the largest universities in Poland. The university ranks 3rd among all universities in Poland, and is ranked 1st in the integrated ranking of universities in science and technology by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Poland from 2016-2022. In 2022, AGH University of Science and Technology ranked 604th in the USNEWS World University Rankings, and ranked 801st in the QS World University Rankings. It has 16 faculties, including mathematics, physics, mechanics, metallurgy, electric and electronic engineering, computing, robotics, energy, etc. Lessons in some of the fields are taught entirely in English. It also ranked 301st in the QS World University Rankings for Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science.
