On February 24, Rudolf Scharping, Board Director of RSBK AG, Germany, and his delegation visited KUST. Yi Jianhong, Vice President of KUST, along with the head of the Division of International Cooperation and the head of City College, met with Mr. Scharping and his delegation.

Yi Jianhong hoped that Mr. Scharping will help KUST carry out cooperation with Germany in terms of education, science, and technology, and introduce some German universities to KUST for teacher-student exchanges and joint school-running, so as to improve the quality of vocational education, and to build a joint platform for scientific research. Mr. Scharping expressed his appreciation for KUST’s scientific research level and his willingness to build wider cooperation with KUST.

Mr. Scharping and his delegation also visited the National-Provincial Joint Laboratory (NDRC) for Manufacturing Technology of Lithium-ion Batteries and Materials. Associate Professor Zhang Yannan introduced in detail the research findings of the laboratory and the progress of the “Sino-German Battery Research Innovation Platform”.

Rudolf Scharping Strategic Consulting & Communication Company (RSBK AG) was founded in 2003 in Frankfurt, Germany, and established a branch in Beijing in 2012. The Board Director of the company, Mr. Rudolf Scharping, was formerly Federal Minister of Defence, Chairman of the Social Democratic Party and Minister-President of Rhineland-Palatinate.
