On March 28th, Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) and Mandalay Technological University (MTU) in Myanmar conducted an online conversation and negotiation through Zoom, confirming that the Lancang-Mekong Technology Cooperation Project (LMTCP) will be implemented by both sides, including teaching experience exchanges, academic conferences, faculty and student exchanges, and cooperative research.
Yi Jianhong, Vice President of KUST, attended the meeting and gave an overview of KUST, including its key characteristics, especially the development of internationalization. He stated that KUST is willing to take the LMTCP as the foothold to deepen the international cooperation and exchanges between KUST and MTU.
The video conference was attended by the relevant leaders, experts, and scholars from the Division of International Cooperation, School of International Education, Faculty of Civil Engineering and Mechanics, Faculty of Electric Power Engineering, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, and Faculty of Chemical Engineering in KUST, and the leaders, experts, and scholars of various departments in MTU. They had in-depth discussions on the future cooperative priorities and main cooperation directions between the two universities.
