On April 25th, two visitors, including Bi Chuancheng, Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Khon Kaen University (KKU) in Thailand, visited Kunming University of Science and Technology Asset Management Co., Ltd (KSAM), and had an exchange and discussion at the Wu Jicheng Hall. Yunnan Association for International Science and Technology Cooperation, the Division of International Cooperation (DIC) of KUST, and KSAM participated in the discussion.
Bi gave a brief introduction to KKU, its science park, and the Graduate School, and expressed his expectation that KKU and KUST could conduct deep international cooperation in research application, scientific and technological innovation, and talent training. DIC introduced the international cooperation KUST had been involved in, while KSAM presented its business. They hoped that both sides could use their location and disciplines as advantages to further promote cooperation between each other, constantly delivering achievements in scientific research, talent training, and the application of scientific and technological advances.
At the meeting, KKU and KUST conducted comprehensive and deep discussions on international, scientific research cooperation, international talent exchange and training, as well as the transfer and application of scientific and technological advances, and signed a memorandum of cooperation with KSAM.
Reaching a consensus and signing the memorandum, both sides suggested that they would actively promote international cooperation between KUST and KKU while making full use of their advantages, and sharing resources and platforms to complement each other. They would accelerate the innovation-driven development strategy, “the Belt and Road” Initiative, and advance the “Thailand 4.0” development strategy to make a greater contribution to the society, economy, and industrial development in South Asia and Southeast Asia.
