On May 27th, the School of International Education of KUST held an opening ceremony for the 2023 Chinese Language Training Program for Thai high school students who are going to study in China. The six-member delegation from Thailand, led by Dr. Worasak Watcharakamtorn (Senior Consultant of the Basic Education Commission of the Ministry of Education of Thailand and Chairman of the Thai Secondary Education Quality Assurance Commission) and Noppadon (Principal of Kanchanapisek Wittayalai Nakhon Pathom School), attended the ceremony. The officials and relevant teachers of the School of International Education and over 70 Thai high school students also attended the event.
Dr. Worasak delivered a speech and conveyed his gratitude to KUST for its consistent support of the program over the years. He said that China and Thailand are good friends, close neighbors, and cooperative partners due to our geographical proximity, cultural similarities, and long-term friendship. Dr. Worasak hoped that Thai students would cherish their time in KUST and act as envoys of friendship in the future, promoting the friendship and cultural exchange between China and Thailand.
This program is a high-quality cultural exchange program jointly launched by KUST and the Ministry of Education of Thailand. It has laid a solid foundation for KUST’s international education cooperation and strengthened the friendship between China and Thailand.
